What experience does Black Diamond Event Production have?
We’ve been in business for nearly two decades and have a combined talent pool experience of over 50 years. Each year we perform, on average, between 150 - 225 events of all types and sizes.
Our wedding teams are the cream of the crop. All wedding DJs and MCs must complete a rigorous in-house 10 month training program prior to accepting their own wedding bookings and are expected to practice weekly either on their own or during our weekly DJ Mixing Sessions (which are a TON of fun and you may have seen some clips from these nights on our Instagram Reels).
Learn more about the Black Diamond Events Team, history and growing collection of industry awards on our About Us page.
Who will be the DJ at my event?
Your DJ and the other members of the Black Diamond Events Team working on your event are assigned/scheduled based on your particular event requirements and the availability of our professional entertainment staff.
Of course, if you have a specific entertainer in mind, we will be happy to work with you to schedule that particular talent!

Level 2 packages for most event types include uplighting. For school formal events (homecomings, proms, college formals) most Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 packages include some degree of intelligent party/club lighting. Check out some of our lighting packages and options on our Lighting Services page.

Are you a "big" company performing cookie cutter events?
Absolutely not. A big fat NO to “cookie cutter” events.
Just like our vibrant clients, each event planned by Black Diamond Event Production is custom designed and unique. You will work with a dedicated event coordinator from start to finish and not someone that “passes the torch” - or relays your planning details - to another department or crew. With direct contact with your event coordinator, you do not have to worry about important planning information being miscommunicated to others or passed on to a subcontractor. Our Events Team are all exclusive W2 employees. Black Diamond is not a talent booking agency or middleman.
What you see is what you get!
What type of equipment does Black Diamond use?
Only the best!
I (Dave Buono writing this) pride myself in the audio, lighting, and video investments we have made over the years to bring you and your guests first class entertainment facilitated by first class gear.
Some of the brands we utilize are…
Pioneer DJ
Electro Voice
JBL Professional
Chauvet Pro
Apple
Rane Professional
Denon DJ
Crown
Shure
Sennheiser
QSC Audio
American DJ
Global Truss
NLFX Professional
Canon
Sony
…among many others!
If you are a tech geek like us and would like more information on equipment specs then make sure to ask your event coordinator for the complete equipment order for your event.
How will the Entertainment Team dress for my event?
That is entirely up to you and the theme of your event. Casual events often call for long sleeved Henley style shirts - or sometimes the stylish jeans & top while for more formal events you can expect your Entertainment Team in a full neutral-colored suit. Tuxedos are reserved for the guests and guest(s) of honor. If your event is a tux-only event, then you can expect your entertainment team will arrive dressed to the nines however additional fees may apply for rentals and tailor fitting/adjustment time.
Or.. perhaps you have a fun and quirky theme. Our Entertainers love to dress up!
Can I meet you in person?
Absolutely. We are happy to do so.
How can you expect to hand the most important and memorable component of your event to someone you have never met. We don’t sell our equipment, we sell our talent and personalities - which I hope you take the time to get to know. We also have the ability for you to schedule virtual meetings during standard business hours. Links for DJ-specific availability are provided once an event is booked, or by completing a new event intake form.
I would be happy to set up a time to sit down with you and yours for a no-cost, no-obligation face-to-face interview. Please contact us to schedule a sit-down meeting!

What are PRIME EVENT DATES and associated minimum spend requirements?

We were so impressed by videographer Nikko Jokiaho‘s luxury/sports vehicle, destination travel and collegiate sports video reels that we immediately reached out to secure him exclusively for Black Diamond Wedding Films. Nikko’s magic is in his editing as evident by his wedding and event videography portfolio. With Nikko as Black Diamond’s lead filmmaker and editor in chief, paired with his hand-picked team of associate videographers, your event videography needs are handled specifically by Nikko. Because of Nikko’s editing prowess and his high demand/limited availability schedule Black Diamond may assign a member of his associate videographers and filmmakers to oversee day-of event video content shooting however final edits and delivery are managed directly by the film creative genius himself.
