Weekend Gig.
Black Diamond Event Production has built its reputation on one thing: delivering events that people remember for a lifetime. We work New England's most celebrated weddings, corporate productions, private parties, and school events from Boston to the North Shore, South Shore, Cape Cod, and beyond.
We don't settle for average, and we don't hire average. Our crew is a tight-knit group of professionals who take pride in their craft, show up prepared, and thrive under the spotlight. In return, you get real experience at real events alongside some of the best production talent in the region.
This is a part-time, weekend-focused position. It is an ideal fit for aspiring DJs, event professionals building their resume, or anyone who is serious about making a career in live entertainment production.

See What You'd
Be Part Of.
From intimate ceremonies to 500-guest ballroom receptions, this is the caliber of event you'd help produce. Every night we're on, something unforgettable happens.
We're Hiring
Across the Crew.
We hire for multiple roles throughout the year. Weekend availability is required for all positions. Select any that apply when you submit your application.
Disc Jockey (DJ)
Our DJs are the heartbeat of the night. You'll read the room, mix seamlessly, and deliver a floor-packing set tailored to each event. Must be comfortable with professional DJ software and hardware.
Master of Ceremonies (MC)
The MC is the voice of the event. You'll guide guests through the program with confidence, warmth, and professionalism. Clear diction, polished presence, and the ability to improvise are essential.
Lighting & Sound Tech
You'll design, rig, and operate uplighting, intelligent lighting systems, and live sound reinforcement. Technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a sharp eye for aesthetics are key.
Equipment Setup Crew
Setup crew members are the backbone of every event. You'll load in, build out, and strike equipment with speed and precision. Physical stamina and reliability are non-negotiable.
Dance Motivator
You bring the energy the crowd needs to let loose. Dance motivators are outgoing, enthusiastic, and fearless on the floor. No formal dance training required, but charisma is non-negotiable.
Photo Booth Attendant
You'll manage our photo booth and novelty entertainment stations, engage guests, troubleshoot on the fly, and ensure every interaction is memorable. Friendly, dependable, and tech-comfortable.
What We
Look For.
Every person we bring onto our team carries the Black Diamond name into some of the most important nights of our clients' lives. Here's what we expect.
-
01
Reliability Above All You show up on time, every time. Events don't get rescheduled because someone overslept. Our clients count on us, and we count on you.
-
02
Professional Presence You represent a luxury brand in high-stakes settings. Grooming, attire, communication, and conduct must all reflect that standard at all times.
-
03
Weekend Availability Most events happen Friday through Sunday, with occasional holidays. Consistent weekend availability is required for all team members, no exceptions.
-
04
Physical Readiness Setup and strike require lifting and carrying equipment up to 60 lbs. A valid driver's license and your own transportation are strongly preferred.
-
05
Team-First Mentality Egos don't belong at our events. We win together. The best performers here are the ones who make everyone around them look good.
-
06
A Drive to Get Better Whether you're brand new to events or have years of experience, we want people who are hungry to grow. Complacency isn't part of the culture here.
What to Expect
Before You Apply.
Do I need prior event industry experience?
Not for every role. Entry-level positions like setup crew and photo booth attendant are open to motivated candidates with no prior event experience. DJ and MC candidates should have at least some demonstrable experience or strong personal projects to share.
How many hours per week would I work?
This is a part-time position. Hours vary by season and role, generally ranging from 8 to 20 hours per weekend during our busy spring and fall seasons. Slower months may have fewer bookings.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
Applicants under 18 are considered for select roles with appropriate parental consent and scheduling accommodations. Most positions are best suited to applicants 18 and older due to the nature of event venues and hours.
What geographic area do you serve?
We serve all of Greater Boston, the North Shore and South Shore, Cape Cod, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and across New England. Reliable personal transportation is a significant advantage and is required for most roles.
What does the hiring process look like?
After you submit your application, expect a response within 72 hours. Qualified candidates will be invited to an informal interview or audition depending on the role. Selected hires complete a paid training period before working events independently.
Can I apply for more than one role?
Absolutely. Many of our team members work across multiple roles depending on event needs. Select all positions that interest you in the application and tell us what you're most excited about.
