Truss Totems: The Production Difference
A truss totem is a free-standing vertical or angled lighting rig, built from aircraft-grade aluminum truss and loaded with intelligent moving head fixtures. Positioned at the corners of the dance floor or flanking the stage, totems elevate the light source above the crowd, projecting beams across the room the way a concert production does.
Most event DJs hang a few bars of LED wash lights on their booth facade. That is fine for coverage. Totems are different. The height, the directional range, and the fixture count create dimensionality, layering beams from multiple angles to build an immersive environment rather than a single color wash.
