Black Diamond offers dance floor rentals in five sizes: 18×18 ft ($1,895), 21×21 ft ($2,195), 24×24 ft ($2,495), 27×27 ft ($2,795), and 30×30 ft ($3,200). The right size depends on your guest count and available venue footprint. Our team helps you choose during the quoting process.
What dance floor patterns are available?
Black Diamond offers six pattern options: Classic Checkerboard, Solid White, Solid Black, Concentric Ring with white center square, Concentric Ring with black center square, and Postage Stamp pattern. Custom patterns are also available on request. All floors feature a high-gloss finish and are available in every rental size.
Does Black Diamond handle delivery and installation?
Yes. Every rental includes professional delivery, precision leveling, and full teardown by our crew. Setup and labor fees range from $300 to $1,200 depending on venue location, bundled services, and the required setup window. We coordinate directly with your venue so you have nothing to manage on the day of your event.
Can I rent a dance floor without booking a DJ or other services?
Yes. Dance floor rentals are available as a fully standalone service. Our Elite Dance Floor & Lighting Package is specifically designed for clients who want a full production setup without requiring a DJ booking. You can also combine a floor rental with any of our other services, including uplighting, photography, videography, and photo booth.
How much does a dance floor rental cost in Boston?
Rental prices range from $1,895 for an 18×18 ft floor to $3,200 for a 30×30 ft floor. Delivery and setup labor fees are separate, ranging from $300 to $1,200. Some venues, including select downtown Boston and Newport locations, may carry additional access fees. We are fully transparent about all costs during quoting.

The Elite Package combines an 18×18 ft professional dance floor with four intelligent moving head lights mounted on totem trussing. The lighting adds motion, color, and energy to weddings, live band performances, corporate events, and private celebrations. It is available standalone or alongside any Black Diamond service and does not require a DJ booking.
How far in advance should I book a dance floor rental?
We recommend booking as early as possible. Peak event season in New England runs May through October, and popular dates fill months in advance. Even outside peak season, floor availability on weekends can be limited. Contact us to check availability for your specific date.
Does Black Diamond serve venues outside of Boston?
Yes. Black Diamond serves venues across greater New England, including Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. We work regularly at venues on the South Shore, the Cape, the North Shore, and into New Hampshire. Additional delivery and travel fees may apply for locations outside our standard service area.
