Yes. Our DJs maintain an admin-reviewed music library and work closely with school advisors to ensure all content is appropriate for your student audience and institutional standards. We keep a clean version of every track and take content guidance from faculty before every event.
How far in advance should we book a prom DJ in Boston?
Spring prom season in New England is highly competitive. We recommend booking 6 to 12 months in advance for prom dates, particularly for May and June weekends. Homecoming and fall school dances typically have more flexibility at 3 to 6 months out.
What is included in Black Diamond's school dance packages?
All packages include a professional DJ, sound system, and student song request portal. Higher tiers add a Hype MC, LED uplighting or dance floor lighting, photo or video booths, pixel tube decor, and dual HD TV setups. Custom upgrades are available for any package.
Can Black Diamond handle both entertainment and AV for our graduation or commencement?
Absolutely. Black Diamond offers full AV and tech services for graduation and commencement ceremonies including professional audio systems, video screen rentals, live stream services, and videography. We serve as a single vendor for schools that need both entertainment and production covered.

We serve schools throughout Massachusetts and all of New England including Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. We also serve select events in South Florida.
How many students can Black Diamond accommodate at a prom or school dance?
Our standard packages are configured for up to 225 guests, and our inventory scales to accommodate proms and galas from 50 to 5,000 attendees. Larger events receive a custom production proposal.
