Danielle Turano has always been two things at once. Classically trained on violin from a young age, she grew up fluent in the language of live performance. But she was also drawn to electronic music and the art of reading a crowd, skills that pulled her into the DJ booth and never let go. As DJ Divina, she made those two identities into one.
The result is a performance that defies easy categorization. At a Divina show, the DJ set is the foundation: meticulously mixed, energy-mapped, built for bodies in motion. The electric violin is the color. She picks up the instrument mid-set, playing live over her own tracks, and the effect is immediate and unmistakable. The crowd does not just hear it. Danielle performs as both a DJ and a live electric violinist. Rather than a pre-recorded backing track, she improvises and layers live violin over her DJ sets in real time. The combination creates a performance that has the precision and energy of a professional DJ paired with the visual and emotional impact of live music. There is nothing pre-canned about it.

Can she perform just as a violinist, or just as a DJ?
Yes to both. Danielle is available as a DJ only, as a live electric violinist only (including cocktail hours, ceremony music, or ambient sets), or as a combined DJ and violin performer. She can also work alongside another Black Diamond DJ for events where you want a dedicated DJ and a dedicated violinist as separate roles.
