Malcolm "Max" Coles grew up in Reading, Massachusetts with a sharp eye and a creative instinct that found its home behind a camera. Now a BFA candidate in Digital Media and Design at the University of Connecticut, Max brings an academic foundation and a restless pursuit of craft to every event he shoots.
At UConn, Max works with the UConn Football Creative Media team and UConn Athletics Video Production -- environments that demand precision, timing, and the ability to capture unrepeatable moments under pressure. That training shows up at every wedding and event he films for Black Diamond.
His approach is built on patience and presence. He doesn't manufacture emotion -- he finds it. The nervous laugh before vows. The moment the dance floor finally breaks open. The glance between partners that nobody else in the room even catches. Max is there for all of it, and his films prove it.
Max serves couples and clients across Boston, New England, and beyond, working alongside the broader Black Diamond video and photography team to deliver films that hold up -- not just tomorrow, but for decades.
