What exactly is an AI photo booth?An AI photo booth uses generative artificial intelligence to transform a guest's photo into a stylized, fantasy, or themed portrait. Rather than printing a standard photo, guests receive an AI-generated image where they've been placed into a cinematic world, transformed into a character, or given a custom style. It's part photo booth, part creative experience.

What are AI prompts and how do I choose them?AI prompts are the transformation themes your guests choose from. Your package includes up to 5 custom prompts, which we configure before your event. Popular options include period costume swaps (Renaissance, Medieval, Roaring Twenties), cinematic world swaps (superhero, fantasy, sci-fi), and artistic style transfers. We'll work with you during setup to select prompts that fit your event theme.

How quickly does the AI generate the image?Processing typically takes around 15 to 30 seconds. The image is then sent directly to the guest's phone via SMS. The entire experience, from stepping up to receiving the image, takes roughly 60 to 90 seconds. Active WiFi at the venue is required for SMS delivery.

Does my venue need to provide WiFi?Yes. Direct-to-text SMS delivery and the live slideshow feed both require an active WiFi connection at the venue. We recommend confirming WiFi availability and password with your venue coordinator before your event. If reliable WiFi is unavailable, we can discuss alternative delivery options.

Is the booth staffed? Do I need to manage anything?Absolutely not. A trained Black Diamond attendant staffs the booth for the full duration of your event. They guide guests through the experience, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure the line keeps moving. You focus on enjoying your event; we handle the rest.

Can the AI booth be combined with other Black Diamond services?Yes, and many clients do exactly that. The AI photo booth pairs naturally with DJ services, uplighting, LED dance floors, photography, and videography.
